As regular readers of this blog will know, I take a very occasional look at a brand new action figure release if it’s likely to be of interest to vintage collectors. This 1/6th scale Spider-Man Limited Edition Collectible Figurine from the Spider-Man 3 movie from Hot Toys looks so fabulous from the initial pre-release photographs that I couldn’t resist posting some news about it here!
What I particularly love about this figure, is the highly detailed red and blue Spider-Man suit – most recent action figure releases, have been of the standard painted plastic variety, whereas this fabric suit harks back to the heyday of vintage action figures and Mego dolls of the 1970s.
The Spider-Man 12 inch Figure features a modified TrueType body with an amazing 30 points of articulation, allowing you to pose this figure in just about any position you please – an absolutely MUST for displaying Spidey action figures. As usual from Hot Toys, he comes kitted out with both relaxed palms and fists, but being Spider-Man he also has a pair of palms for web shooting, web holding and climbing, not to mention five different strips of web for any eventuality – web shooting, web opening or flying through the air!
This limited edition is issued with an action figure stage featuring props from the clock tower scene and a figure stand with a Spider-Man nameplate and movie logo.
